You will collect DNA cells from the inside lining of your cheek through a non-invasive saliva sample.

Full instructions are sent out to you when you order your package, it is a quick and harmless cheek swab which needs to be done at least an hour after food, drink or teeth brushing.

There is no set time frame required by the laboratory however, once you have taken your swab we encourage you to put it in the post as soon as is practicable. Don’t forget to put the capsule in the tube too, this helps to preserve the sample. Delaying the return of your sample will mean that we will need to re-arrange your pre-booked consultation.

Your DNA results are retained for a maximum of 5 months, this gives you the opportunity to order any more reports that you might choose to do after your initial reports. After this time period all information is then destroyed and no results are kept by the laboratory. You will have your reports and summary notes to keep.

You will have pre-booked your consultation at the time of choosing which report package you would like, if you need to change this appointment, please contact us to rearrange. If there is a delay returning your swab to us, we may need to rearrange your pre-booked consultation.

This will depend on the report package you have chosen; between 45 minutes for one report and up to 2 hours for 5 or more reports. Any report or package including Metabolics will take longer.

Once you have purchased a report package you can then login as a Previous Client where you can book additional follow up consultations with Dr Jill or a Nutritionist and add on additional reports.

Yes, once you have purchased a package with us you can then login as a Previous Client. You can then add on any of our additional reports. If your order if within 5 months of your previous reports, we will be able to use your previous swab. Beyond this time, you will need to repeat the process and send us a new cheek sample. if you would like to order more than one further report we suggest you use ‘Contact us’ tab and we can the advise if another package would work best for you.

Your DNA report will be able to advise you if you are at increased risk of cardiovascular or autoimmune diseases. It will also be able to advise you if you have other risk factors that could potentially give you an overall higher risk of some cancers. There are no scary diagnoses as we aren’t testing for isolated genes associated with specific cancers or hereditary genetic conditions. All genes that are reported, can be optimised by nutrition and lifestyle therefore allowing you to easily achieve change and optimise your genetic health risks.

No, the joy of testing your DNA is that the fundamentals don’t change so you can test at any age and in fact the younger the better to help prevent illness.

Yes, you can place an order with us if you are outside of the UK but postage and packaging costs vary, so please contact us to find out what these additional costs will be before placing your order. You will also need to arrange your own courier or postal service to return your swab to the UK. There are some countries that this service is not available to including Russia, Canada, Brazil, some States of the USA and Thailand.

If you have notified us of your wish to cancel before we have dispatched your DNA kit you will receive a full refund. You may also request a full refund if you notify us within 14 days of your kit delivery arriving, as long as the test kit is unopened, unused and in its sealed packaging, and you return the kit back to us in as new condition.

Consultations with Dr Jill or a nutritionist require 48 hours notice, we cannot offer a refund if less than this is provided.

Nutrigenomic testing is cutting edge analysis that is currently not covered by health insurance however we offer varying packages to support different budgets, we are more than happy to discuss bespoke packages and pricing for your personal budget.

We take payment at the time of booking a consultation and package using Stripe a secure payment method.

We currently don’t but this is something we are considering for the future.

Yes. We use a UK based company called Lifecode Gx, on reaching the company your sample is allocated a barcode and all other identifiable information is removed. Each test is processed in their ISO certified UK laboratory and all samples are completely destroyed after 3 months and all genotyping data is completely destroyed after 6 months. Your data is never and never will be, shared with or sold to third parties.

The link is embedded in your booking confirmation email and in the reminder email which was sent to you the day before your appointment. Don’t forget to check your junk folder in case it has ended up in there.
